It will allow you to turn your Mac into an software authenticator by taking a Pre-Shared Secret provided by an authentication server to generate OATH-Compliant Time Based One Time Passwords (TOTP) using algorithms specified in RFC 6238. OTP Token is based off the popular G**gle Authenticator, and shares similar functions. Just written and created differently to avoid copyright issues. While two-step authentication may not protect your data from the U.S. National Security Agency, it will help prevent unauthorized access to your accounts.
